SHAKEN NOT STIRRED: A CELEBRATION OF THE MARTINI® (AKA: MARTINIPLACE) has been around since Halloween night 1995 and shows no signs of leaving the Internet (even though we have moved over to Mixellany .com).

One thing remains the same. We are dedicated to presenting you with thoughts about all things to do with cocktails and spirits: bits of lore, anecdotes, history, recipes, you name it, plus a healthy dose of reminding you that quality over quantity counts in the true appreciation of the cocktail and the spirits with which they are made.

(Also being of legal age in your particular country of residence when you visit this site will make all of us feel a whole lot better.)

Oh and almost forgot. You may have hear that we write books and articles about the history of drinks drinking. Our US Book Store and UK Book Store are filled with all sorts of treats to whet your appetite for cocktails or a sip of a fine spirit.
